This Privacy Policy describes how MDM ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information when you use our AI photo editing application.

Information We Access

Photos & Media

We access your device's photo library to:

• Display your photos in the app
• Send selected photos to our AI service for transformation
• Save AI-generated images back to your library

We only access photos you explicitly select. We do not scan, analyze, or upload your entire photo library.

Data Sent to Our Servers

When you request an AI transformation, we send:

• The image(s) you selected
• Your text prompt describing the desired edit
• Optional style reference images you provide

This data is sent securely via HTTPS to our processing servers.

Camera

With your permission, the app uses the camera to shoot photos inside the app. Captured photos stay in the app until you save them to your library. They are uploaded only as part of an edit you request.

Microphone & Voice Input

With your permission, the app uses the microphone to let you dictate edit prompts. Speech is transcribed on your device with Apple's on-device speech recognition. The audio never leaves your iPhone. Only the final text prompt is sent to our servers, and only when you submit an edit.

Anonymous Account

On first launch the app creates an anonymous account ID and stores it in your device keychain. We use this ID to:

• Count your free and paid edits each month
• Link your subscription so your credits work after a reinstall

The ID is a random identifier. It is not tied to your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID, and we never ask for any of those.

How We Use Your Data

AI Image Processing

Your images and prompts are sent to our servers, which use Google's Gemini API to generate transformed images.

• Images are processed in real-time
• Images are not stored on our servers after processing completes
• We do not use your images to train AI models
• We do not retain your prompts after processing

Local Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device:

• Generated images: Cached for quick access until you save or discard them
• Draft prompts: Your unsent prompts are saved so you don't lose your work
• Style references: Style images you save for reuse
• Preferences: App settings and onboarding completion status

This local data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.

Third-Party Services

Google Gemini API

We use Google's Gemini API for AI image generation. When processing your images, Google's terms and privacy policies apply to that processing. Google does not use data sent via their API to train their models. See Google's API Terms for details.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. When you purchase mdm Pro, RevenueCat receives your anonymous account ID and your App Store purchase history so we can grant your monthly credits. RevenueCat does not receive your photos, prompts, or any contact details. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for details.

Meta (Ads Measurement)

We advertise mdm on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). To measure whether those ads work, the app includes the Facebook SDK and asks for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

• If you allow tracking: your device's advertising identifier and purchase events are shared with Meta so ad campaigns can be attributed and optimized.
• If you decline: no advertising identifier is collected, and only Apple's aggregate, privacy-preserving attribution (SKAdNetwork) is used.

Your photos and prompts are never shared with Meta either way. You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See the Meta Privacy Policy for how Meta handles this data.

Apple Services

The app uses standard Apple frameworks:

• Photos Framework: To access your photo library with your permission
• Live Activities: To show generation progress on your Lock Screen

Data Retention

• Server-side: Images are processed in memory and not retained after your request completes. We retain your anonymous account ID, your monthly edit count, and your subscription tier for as long as your account exists.
• Device-side: Cached data remains until you delete the app or clear it manually. The anonymous account ID lives in the keychain and can survive a reinstall.

Your Rights

You can:

• Deny photo access: The app will not function without photo library access, but you control this permission
• Delete local data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data
• Delete your account data: Email us and we will delete your anonymous account ID, edit counts, and subscription records from our servers
• Request information: Contact us to ask what data we have about you — the only server-side data is the anonymous account record described above

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• Images are processed in isolated server environments
• We do not store your images or prompts after processing

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
